Description
BECTON DICKINSON 1.2 x 40 mm 18G Safety Medication Draw-Up Needle with FILTER
A 40 mm long needle, cut at a 45° angle with a blunt tip. The unique needle design prevents stopper debris and other contaminants from entering the preparation and also prevents needle stick injuries (the force required to penetrate tissue is 10 times greater than with traditional needles). Piercing the container stopper requires only 2.5 times more force than with sharpened needles. The needle cap is equipped with a 5-micron filter that eliminates 98% of particulate matter when drawing the preparation from the vial. The needle is suitable for drawing up thick and viscous substances. The different color-coded cap and colored cover prevent confusion with standard needles.
