Description
BD Q-SYTE Needle-Free Vascular Access System
Based on a divisible silicone membrane, this closed access system with a Luer lock tip reduces the rate of catheter-related bloodstream infections caused by traditional mechanical valves by up to 70%. The device is used for intermittent or continuous infusions, connecting (and disconnecting) intravenous sets and syringes, as well as for connecting to arterial cannulas and for blood sampling.
The undoubted advantages of the Q-Syte system include ease of cleaning, no crevices around the plunger, and a compact interior (no moving parts).
