Description
BD Vacutainer® 6ml 13 x 100mm Serum Analysis Tubes
Serum samples are obtained using plastic tubes containing a clot activator. Given that the plastic surface alone cannot induce the clotting process in a timely manner, silica particles have been added to the BD Vacutainer® Plus plastic serum analysis tubes to achieve the desired effect. The tubes are marked with the abbreviation CAT (Clot Activator Tube).
Clotting time
Minimum clotting time in patients not treated with anticoagulants - 60 minutes.
