Description
BACTIGRAS 10 x 10cm Chlorhexidine-Imbued Dressing (1 piece)
Made of large-mesh gauze, this paraffin dressing contains chlorhexidine. The paraffin provides a moist environment for wound healing while preventing the dressing from sticking to the wound. Using a paraffin dressing reduces the risk of tissue scarring and accelerates healing – the wound does not dry out excessively and the skin does not macerate. The chlorhexidine provides an antibacterial environment and reduces the risk of bacterial infection.
The dressing is non-adhesive; tape, a surgical tape, or a bandage should be used to secure it to the skin. In cases of heavy wound exudate, an absorbent dressing may be added. Thanks to the large mesh of the gas carrier, the fluid freely passes through the dressing.
